Chocolate Peanut Butter Date Balls

We love many different versions of date balls, but this is the easiest and definitely one of our favorites. Choose this for travel snacks or a healthier dessert.


1 cup pitted dates

1 cup rolled oats

1/2 cup chocolate chips

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

1/2 tablespoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons almond milk

Pinch of salt


Mix together all ingredients in a food processor.

Scrape down the sides and mix until smooth.

Refrigerate for 15-20 minutes (or longer).

Roll into bite sized balls and store in a sealed container for up to a week, but they will surely be eaten before then :)


My dates occasionally dry out in the pantry. I heat them in a bowl of water for about one minute on 50% power in the microwave and then drain the water before adding them to the recipe.
